Step 1: Guard Card
Start Your Guard Card Training Here.
This in-person class is the first step to getting your Guard Card, as required by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).
What’s Included:
- Powers to Arrest – 3 hours
- Appropriate Use of Force – 5 hours
There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee. After you sign up, you’ll get an email and a phone call to confirm your spot in the class.
Step 2: Continuing Education
Option 1: 32- Hour Guard Card Training Bundle
Purchase this 32-hour bundle and begin virtual classes AFTER you complete your 8-hour, in-person training program.
Please note:
You must finish a minimum of 16-hours of these courses within 30 days of starting your job.
A total of 32 hours of continuing education is required within 6 months of your start date.
If you don’t complete the required training on time, your employer could face fines.
Option 2: 16- Hour Guard Card Bundle
AFTER you complete your 8-hour, in-person training program. You can begin this this 16-hour class bundle.
Please note:
You must finish these courses within 30 days of starting your job.
A total of 32 hours of continuing education is required within 6 months of your start date.
You will need to purchase additional individual classes and complete them within 6 months or your employer could face fines.

If you previously purchased only the 16-hour package or still need specific hours to complete your Guard Card requirements, you can choose from the individual courses below.
These courses can also be used to maintain your Guard Card by completing the state-required 8 hours of continuing education each year.
